This unique kit – originally designed for use in limousines and other applications where the car cell phone had to be able to respond to almost any cell phone number, offers features well beyond the level of most in-car kits for today’s analog cell phones.
The kit is a complete in-car cell phone, (can have it own cell phone number) with 3 watt transceiver (trunk or under-seat mount) under dash speaker, hands-free microphone, complete wired handset with dialing capabilities and features 100 name alpha-numeric memory and display. Also included is a charging cradle for any EE2 Motorola MicroTac cell phone (see below for application)
Additionally, the kit we are selling includes a complete Motorola
Micro-Tac Lite cell phone with battery and charger.
This cell phone can be used on its own, with its own cell phone number
- and additionally, when it is plugged into the charging cradle in the
above car kit, the INSTALLED in-car phone above takes on the identity of
the handheld MicroTac.
While this may seem confusing, the possibilities are endless….
Ideal in applications where a company pays the business cell phone
bill during the week (on the I-car phone, with its own number) and on the
weekend, the MicroTac Lite is used on a personal basis. As soon as the
portable is installed in the cradle, the complete car phone assumes the
identity of the portable.
Motorola discontinued this kit years ago do to the fact that it added too much flexibility to in-car and cellular phones.
Also excellent for application in the security field where a single number must be used at all times, but both 3 watt in car use and full handset portability are required.
