These speakers, with the prestigious Polk Audio brand, were designed to be packaged with multimedia monitors - and we were fortunate enough to be able to pull off about 200 pairs. These speakers perform beautifully when connected direct to the sound card output, and do not require the use of additional amplification to bring you crisp, clear audio from your multimedia PC. Great for CD, MP3, streaming audio, WAV files, etc. Each speaker has an audio input cord terminated in a 3.5mm mono plug (so you can use it with any standard audio output jack) and they are complete with the "y" connector/adapter to hook direct to the output of your sound card. Brand new units - still in original factory packaging. Excellent for any PC system - and they even have cleaner sound than those low cost amplified speaker systems.
